Lastly visual preference comes into play here.
Where to place drawer pulls on kitchen cabinets.
See the image below.
Like with knobs if the drawer is 24 or wider you can add a second pull.
Most drawer pulls are centered on the drawer fronts but if the cabinet you re working on has two or three drawers the same size and one larger one at the bottom install the bottom knob or pull higher than the center of that drawer front.
For example if your drawers are 92 centimetres wide half of 92 is 46 half of 46 is 23.
For small drawers less than 24 wide center the knobs or pulls in both directions.
As far as the number of pulls or knobs you do have a choice.
Divide the drawer in half centre a pull in each half and it will be perfectly balanced.
The first suggestion is to put knobs on all upper cabinets and pulls on all lower cabinets.
Knobs and pulls can also be placed centered at the very top of the drawer panel where the drawer rail begins.
When it comes to cabinet pulls placement for drawers under 24 pulls are most often centered and installed in the middle of the drawer panel.
The same goes with pulls on cabinet doors.
On wall cabinets knobs are usually placed 2 1 2 to 3 from the bottom corner of the door.
Install it so all the knobs on the cabinet are spaced evenly.
Then just place the knobs at 9 in from the left and right.
Two pull placement is there a secret to placing two pulls on a drawer.
This placement is also the most practical putting the handles as much within reach as possible.
This creates a really clean high touch finishing look for your cabinetry.
Note that neither option mentioned is more superior than the other.
For example a 27 drawer front would be 27 3 9.
It s usually a good idea to find the center then move the knob or pull up slightly so it s a little closer to the top than the bottom.
If your drawers are 24 or wider you can place either one pull or one knob in the middle of the drawer or two pulls or two knobs on either side of the drawer.
I chose to use one pull on all drawers regardless of the width of the drawer.
On base cabinets they are placed 2 1 2 to 3 from the upper corner of the door.
To do this simply measure the drawer front divide by 3 and from the left and right put knobs at that distance.
Just like on larger drawers pulls should be placed horizontally.
The bottom of the pull on upper cabinets and top of the pull on lower cabinets is centered on the corner.
Centering knobs or pulls on the drawer front is usually the best option.
Knobs on doors pulls on drawers the second option we recommend if using a combination of knobs and pulls is to put knobs on all doors and pulls on all drawers.
